You can actually level it up very fast just using the spells every time they are ready. You might level up the psionic tree sooner, but actually getting it in the first place should be your concern. You can only test a soldier ONE time, so having the most amount of will for the test makes the more sense.īecoming psionic at a lower rank also doesn't change anything. Ranking them up with the will boost upgrade helps, and can get them to around 100(25% on the test). You should wait until the soldiers are max rank, so they have as much will as they can have, then test them. For example, a low will soldier at 40 will only has a 10% chance to be psionic. If you test them at a lower rank, you're basically wasting their test. You should wait on testing soldiers, because the higher their will is, the higher their chance of popping positive. "I'd like to know whether a soldier who becomes Psionic at low rank will (statistically) end up with a higher Will than if he (or she) became Psionic at a high rank."
